KOKO Business | People, Ideas, Markets, Growth | Denel’s Strategic Focus on Sustainable Recovery

Denel Group CEO Tsepo Monaheng emphasized that the company's recovery must be measured by improved delivery, stronger financial management, sound governance, and converting market opportunities into sustainable revenue and cash flows. This focus aligns with the entity's 2025/26 Annual Report, which highlights a pipeline of business opportunities exceeding R30 billion.

Monaheng stated that Denel's turnaround requires discipline, accountability, and sustained execution to stabilize the organization and rebuild foundations for long-term resilience. The CEO acknowledged significant challenges while noting progress in stabilizing the business during his recent appearance before the Portfolio Committee on Defence and Military Veterans.

The company's strategic priorities include executing existing programs, strengthening financial controls, securing new business, investing in critical technologies, and ensuring relevance to South Africa's defence and security needs.
