Surveyors’ Council Directs Property Buyers to Registered Surveyors

President Moshood Akinwande of the Surveyors’ Council of Nigeria instructed the public to contact registered surveyors when acquiring landed properties during his Ogun State visit. This guidance followed a two-day engagement with the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors’ Ogun State Branch, hosted by Chairman Abiodun Liadi.

Akinwande stated that surveying law authority previously held by state governments now resides with the Surveyors’ Council of Nigeria. The council regulates surveyors, oversees professional standards, and enforces disciplinary actions for misconduct.

The visit concluded with a meeting involving the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors’ Ogun State Body of Fellows, as part of Akinwande’s invitation from the branch’s chairman.
