Motorists Report Limited Access to Discounted Petrol Despite NNPCL Price Reduction

Motorists in Nigeria report continued inability to access discounted petrol at NNPCL filling stations despite the price reduction. The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Ltd (NNPCL) has implemented a lower pump price for petrol, yet many drivers state they have not received the discounted product.

The motorists cited the absence of the NNPCL mobile application as the primary barrier to obtaining the discounted fuel. They stated that NNPCL explicitly instructed customers to purchase the discounted petrol exclusively through the company's mobile application.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reported that the Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Taiwo Oyedele, announced the petrol price discount and subsidy-related product reductions.
