Dr. Ayesha Khanna Advocates Weekly AI-Free Practice for Skill Retention

Dr. Ayesha Khanna, an AI entrepreneur, recommends that individuals practice "AI fasting" by avoiding artificial intelligence entirely for at least one day each week to maintain essential work skills. This advice was presented during the IMF Inspired session at the IMF-World Bank Annual Meetings.
Dr. Ayesha Khanna emphasized that people must refrain from using artificial intelligence completely once weekly to preserve foundational skills necessary for employment if technology systems fail.
Dr. Ayesha Khanna delivered this recommendation at the "AI: Unlocking Our Human Potential" session, the inaugural event of the IMF's IMF Inspired series focused on women entrepreneurs, activists, and thought leaders.
Sabina Bhatia, director of the IMF's Corporate Services and Facilities Department, posed the questions during this discussion.
