Trump Calls for Zelensky Replacement Amid Diesel Deal Dispute

US President Donald Trump urged Ukraine to replace President Volodymyr Zelensky, criticizing Kyiv’s attacks on Russian oil refineries during a dispute over a diesel supply agreement with Moscow. Trump made the remarks at the White House on Saturday, following his announcement of a diesel deal with Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Zelensky said the decision to ease sanctions on Russian diesel had emboldened Moscow, connecting it to a Russian attack on the Ukrainian city of Zaporizhzhia that killed 20 people, including three children. Trump accused Zelensky of harming global diesel supplies through strikes on Russian energy facilities and urged him to stop targeting Russian energy infrastructure.
