Ogun State Governor Highlights Strategic Projects for Economic Growth

Governor Abiodun emphasized that Ogun State’s strategic location near Lagos and expanding infrastructure will enhance manufacturing, maritime trade, logistics, and employment, with positive impacts extending to the broader Nigerian economy. The Governor made this statement during the weekend investiture of the Commissioner for Environment, Oladimeji Oresanya, as the 19th president of Sagamu Club.

The Governor outlined plans for a Gateway Deep Sea Port and Blue Marine Special Economic Zone in Ogun Waterside, which aim to drive shipping, manufacturing, warehousing, export processing, and freight transportation.

Additionally, the Governor mentioned that the emerging energy sector, particularly the proposed Ogun-LNG project, may support industrial expansion if commercially viable and effectively executed.
