Campaign Group Links Fuel Price Hike to Economic Strain, Proposes Makinde Alternative

A campaign group stated that the rise in petrol prices from N1,370 to N1,410 per litre at Abuja filling stations and nationwide locations has validated its prior warning that discounted fuel prices do not address the growing cost of living. The group emphasized that Nigerians cannot endure the hollow rhetoric of 'bold economic reforms,' which it claims shifts economic hardship onto citizens.
The group positioned the Makinde/Daura ticket as an alternative to the Tinubu administration, arguing that its RESET NIGERIA Agenda focuses on responsible economic management, transparent resource governance, and productive investment. It asserted that Nigeria requires a complete RESET under a Makinde presidency rather than the current administration’s failures.
