Pakistan Adjusts Petrol and HSD Prices Amid Market Fluctuations

The federal government reduced petrol prices by Rs2.93 per litre while increasing high-speed diesel (HSD) by 61 paisas per litre for October 13, according to a notification from the Petroleum Division. Petrol was set at Rs395.37 per litre, with HSD priced at Rs396.85 per litre under the daily price mechanism.

On October 12, the government adjusted petrol prices by 66 paisas per litre and HSD by 52 paisas per litre, effective from October 10 to October 12. The latest change reflects ongoing market dynamics amid the US-Israeli conflict with Iran, as people in Karachi wait for fuel access hours before price increases.
