DIG Foundation and Ebonyi Taskforce Train Monitors for National Identity System

The Oswald Agwu Development and Integrity Intervention Goal Foundation, a civil society organisation, partnered with the Ebonyi State Gender-Based Violence Taskforce to train third-party monitors. This initiative aims to enhance quality, inclusivity, and accountability in the national Identity system.
DIG Foundation was selected as one of six civil society organisations to anchor the third-party monitor programme for Lot 4, covering the Southeast zone. Ebonyi and Imo states serve as pilot areas for this project.
The DIG Executive Director emphasized that the broader ID4D initiative supports inclusive, trusted identification systems while safeguarding privacy and enabling access to services and economic opportunities. Ebonyi State Head Philip Iwuchukwu Okeke, through Principal Identity Officer John Ikegwu, directed monitors to ensure the accuracy and authenticity of the National Identity Number database.
