Singapore’s Third-Quarter GDP Growth Rate Reported by METI

Singapore’s GDP increased by 5.4% in the third quarter of 2026, according to METI. This growth rate slowed from the 6.2% recorded in the second quarter. On a quarter-on-quarter basis, the economy expanded by 1.1%, down from the 1.5% growth in the prior quarter when seasonally adjusted.
Manufacturing and construction sectors contributed significantly, with manufacturing rising 7.5% and construction growing 8.8% due to increased public and private projects. Services also expanded, driven by wholesale trade, transport, IT, finance, and hotels.
METI plans to release comprehensive third-quarter GDP data, including inflation, employment, and productivity metrics, in the Economic Survey of Singapore scheduled for November 2026.
