The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) initiated a 10-day specialised training programme on Asset Tracing and Crypto currency Investigation, partnering with the South Korean Police for thirty officers. The programme commenced on Tuesday, 13 October, 2026, at the EFCC Academy in Abuja.

ACE1 Joseph Ogwiji, acting through the EFCC Academy, noted that digital financial services and virtual assets demand continuous skill development for investigators. He emphasized the need to interpret transaction records, track funds across platforms, and link digital evidence to individuals under investigation to combat global economic crimes.

The Executive Chairman of the EFCC, Ola Olukoyede, expressed satisfaction with the collaboration, stating the EFCC is one of Nigeria’s most respected law-enforcement institutions. Woosung Kwon, representing the Korean Police Investigation Academy, thanked EFCC management and organizers for their hospitality and cooperation.
