GIPA CEO Simon Madjie announced a strategic shift toward mobilizing capital rather than just attracting investment, emphasizing a roadshow in Northern Ghana to link investors with ready projects. This initiative aligns with a broader plan to present regional opportunities at the Invest Ghana Summit on November 16 and 17, 2026.

GIPA data reveals 128 investment project profiles from Northern, North East, Savannah, Upper East, and Upper West regions, indicating rising prominence in the national investment landscape. The Upper West Region leads with 45 projects, followed by Northern Region at 38, Savannah at 19, Upper East at 16, and North East at 10.

Since 1994, these regions have attracted 100 registered investment projects with an estimated FDI value of US$1.91 billion, primarily in agriculture and manufacturing. This track record shows growing investor interest in the Northern Belt.
