DCI and Kenya Power Crack Down on Meter Theft

The Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) and Kenya Power have issued a warning against the theft of power-related equipment following the arrest of a suspect in Kawangware. The warning was issued after the suspect was apprehended in an intelligence-led operation.

According to police, the operation led to the recovery of 12 suspected stolen meters from the suspect's residence. The DCI has intensified efforts to dismantle illicit trade networks involving KPLC equipment.

The DCI and Kenya Power are collaborating to combat criminal networks involved in the theft of electricity meters. The arrest is part of a broader crackdown on the illicit trade of power-related equipment.
