Spain’s Diesel Shipments to Morocco Surpass France and Portugal

Spain's diesel deliveries to Morocco reached 161,000 tonnes in August, marking the highest monthly volume recorded this year, up from 83,000 tonnes in July.

Morocco received 24.2% of Spain’s total diesel exports of 666,000 tonnes in August, surpassing France and Portugal, which received 108,000 and 94,000 tonnes respectively.

Spanish petroleum product shipments to Morocco increased by 50.6% in August, reaching 271,000 tonnes from 180,000 tonnes in July, contributing nearly 16% of Spain’s total petroleum exports of 1.7 million tonnes.

Diesel made up 59.4% of petroleum shipments to Morocco, contributing approximately 86% of the overall monthly increase in exports.

Other petroleum products shipped to Morocco included 38,000 tonnes of liquefied petroleum gas, 18,000 tonnes of gasoline, and 12,000 tonnes of fuel oil.
