The government has intensified efforts to enhance telecommunications in rural areas, aiming to support local businesses and stimulate economic growth. This initiative focuses on expanding network coverage and ensuring reliable communication for residents in underserved regions.

During a visit to several rural telephony project sites, including Adaklu-Blidokope and Akoetey, officials assessed progress on these projects. The visit also included inspections of regional digital training centers linked to the One Million Coders Programme, which seeks to equip Ghanaians with essential digital skills.

The minister urged contractors to avoid delays in the rural telephony projects, emphasizing the importance of timely completion to meet national development goals.
