Egyptian President Al-Sisi highlighted the importance of defending Saudi Arabia’s land and borders, stating that Egypt’s military involvement did not exceed the borders of Egypt or any neighboring state whose security and stability were crucial to Egypt’s interests.

During a speech at the Egypt Forum 2026, Al-Sisi emphasized that Arab national security was interconnected, and the stability of Gulf states was considered a matter of national security for Egypt.

Al-Sisi also mentioned that Egypt’s backing for Gulf states was part of a broader Arab security strategy, with a focus on restoring stability in countries such as Sudan, Libya, and Somalia.

He urged the Egyptian public to remain united and strong, noting that the country faced numerous risks, not limited to those related to the Ethiopian dam.

Al-Sisi pointed out that targeting state institutions was a common tactic used to destabilize nations, as seen during the 2011 events.

He reiterated that the 2011 attacks on Egypt’s security establishment were part of a larger plan aimed at undermining the Egyptian state.
