Miss Universe Singapore Misses Puerto Rico Pageant Due to Franchise Dispute

Miss Universe Singapore, represented by Vion Erico Tan, will not participate in the Nov 24 pageant in Puerto Rico. This decision follows an ongoing franchise dispute involving six South-east Asian countries.

Vion Erico Tan was crowned Miss Universe Singapore 2026. The non-participation in the Puerto Rico event is attributed to the franchise dispute, which has led to the exclusion of six beauty queens from the competition.

Miss Grand International stated that the non-participation was the result of consultations with relevant parties and that the queens retain their contractual rights. Miss Universe Singapore expressed disappointment but remains committed to preparing Tan for a potential Miss Universe 2027 bid.
