Kenya Ships Local Products to Rwanda Ahead of EAC Trade Fair

Kenya has sent locally produced goods from micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) to Rwanda in preparation for the 26th East African Community MSME Trade Fair, set to take place from October 30 to November 8.
The products were officially dispatched by Principal Secretary for MSME Development Susan Mang’eni at the Micro and Small Enterprises Authority (MSEA) Centre of Excellence in Kariobangi, Nairobi.
The trade fair will be hosted at the Gikondo Expo Ground in Kigali with the theme focusing on advancing regional value chains in leather and horticulture.
Mang’eni highlighted that the East African Community market, which includes approximately 331 million people and a combined gross domestic product of $356 billion, presents a significant opportunity for Kenyan businesses to expand regional trade.
She also mentioned that the fair would assist businesses in understanding market trends, building trade connections, and assessing their products against regional demand.
