JI Threatens Islamabad March Over Petroleum Levy

Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan has warned that it will march on Islamabad in mid-November if the government does not abolish the petroleum levy. The party's leader, Hafiz Naeem ur Rehman, stated that the movement would continue until the government meets its demands.
Naeem acknowledged that the government had introduced some relief measures for petroleum prices after JI protests but claimed these were inadequate. He emphasized that the party would persist in its campaign until the levy was removed.
The party's leader also called for the withdrawal of the K-P emergency, highlighting the ongoing pressure on the government to address public grievances related to fuel costs.
