Fulani leaders have called for the allocation of 30% of the agriculture budget to support ranch development and improve livestock management. They emphasized the need for government intervention to address challenges in the sector, which they describe as a ₦30 trillion economy.

The coalition also urged the Federal Government to safeguard the country’s 417 grazing reserves and investigate alleged killings of pastoralists in several states, including Plateau, Niger, Sokoto, Kebbi, Zamfara, and others.

In addition to protecting grazing reserves, the leaders proposed the immediate gazetting of these areas and the establishment of pilot ranches and fodder production facilities across the six geopolitical zones. They argued that modernizing the livestock sector could help reduce farmer-herder conflicts.
