ISSER Urges Manufacturing Investment for Job Creation

Professor Robert Darko Osei, Director of the Institute of Statistical, Social and Economic Research (ISSER) at the University of Ghana, has emphasized the need for increased investment in manufacturing to support Ghana’s economic growth and macroeconomic stability.
Osei highlighted that Ghana must maintain its economic growth while ensuring the sectors driving it generate jobs and enhance people’s livelihoods. He identified manufacturing as a critical area for job creation and called for investment to boost industrial productivity and competitiveness.
The ISSER has urged the government and private sector to prioritize manufacturing as a means to translate economic growth into sustainable employment and improved living conditions for Ghanaians.
