An accountability court in Kohistan approved a Rs20 million plea bargain for a private contractor accused in a high-profile graft case. The agreement involves the alleged embezzlement of over Rs37 billion from the Upper Kohistan district accounts office.

Judge Mohammad Zafar ordered the accused, Saifullah, to be released if his custody was not required in any other case. The court emphasized that the plea bargain was entered into with his full consent and without any coercion.

The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was involved in the plea bargain agreement. The court confirmed that the accused had acknowledged the terms of the deal voluntarily.
