ADC Accuses Tinubu Administration of Exacerbating Economic Hardship in Nigeria

KOKO Business | People, Ideas, Markets, Growth | ADC Accuses Tinubu Administration of Exacerbating Economic Hardship in Nigeria

The African Democratic Congress (ADC) claims President Bola Tinubu’s government policies have intensified economic hardship for Nigerian citizens. This accusation stems from the ADC candidate’s assertion that economic measures implemented since May 29, 2023, have placed significant strain on ordinary households.

Nakudu stated that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) has failed to provide adequate living conditions, attributing current struggles to the administration’s economic approach. He further argued that the one-month fuel price reduction announced by the Tinubu administration is deceptive and does not address the rising cost of living effectively.

Nakudu connected the recent fuel price adjustment to a proposed fuel subsidy restoration plan by former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar, the ADC’s presidential candidate, should he win the 2027 election.

According to Nakudu, the removal of fuel subsidies by the Federal Government on May 29, 2023, has continued to worsen living conditions for ordinary Nigerians, with no meaningful relief provided since that date.
