Balimukuubo Joins Pearl Bank with Legal Expertise

Balimukuubo joined Pearl Bank in June 2026, leveraging her background in corporate governance, regulatory compliance, legal risk management and strategic advisory.

Prior to her role at Pearl Bank, she worked over eight years at Standard Chartered Bank Uganda, serving as country legal counsel and assistant company secretary.

Her career includes legal positions at Ecobank Uganda, where she acted as head of legal and began as a legal officer. She also provided legal and governance support to the board, executive management and business functions.

Balimukuubo’s expertise covers financial services regulation, litigation management, credit and recoveries, company secretarial functions, external counsel management and strategic legal advisory.

At Pearl Bank, she is tasked with supporting the board and executive management on regulatory compliance, governance and legal risk management, aligning these areas with the bank’s business objectives.
