City’s 3-0 Victory Over Liverpool Amid Financial Breach Fallout

Manchester City secured a 3-0 victory against Liverpool at Anfield on October 11, 2026, following the club’s recent Premier League financial breach conviction. Erling Haaland emphasized the team’s resilience after the ruling.

Haaland scored early to give City the lead, with Jeremy Doku and Rayan Cherki adding goals to overcome Liverpool’s fan taunts and criticism about the financial misconduct ruling.

Manchester City’s manager Enzo Maresca confirmed the team remained unaffected by fan abuse despite the club’s independent commission finding over 100 financial rule violations.

The club is appealing the financial breach decision, which could result in significant points deductions, potentially causing relegation or title revocation.
