Egyptian Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Radad, announced new measures during a meeting at the ministry’s headquarters in the New Administrative Capital. The event brought together representatives of Japanese companies operating in Egypt, with the Japanese Ambassador to Egypt, Fumio Iwai, in attendance.

The meeting centered on improving bilateral cooperation in areas such as labour, investment, and vocational training. Radad listened to challenges raised by Japanese representatives, particularly regarding foreign work permit procedures and the application of labour law and relations.

Radad emphasized the ministry’s commitment to studying and resolving these issues in collaboration with relevant authorities. He also confirmed efforts to expedite foreign work permit applications within the regulatory framework to ensure procedural efficiency.

The minister highlighted the role of the newly established 'Investor Facilitation Unit,' which aims to improve direct communication with business owners, simplify services, and assist in applying labour legislation.
