Ethiopian Airlines Confirms Flight Error After Israeli Restrictions

Ethiopian Airlines stated the incident involved a mistake during a flight from Addis Ababa that was approximately one hour into its journey and remained within Ethiopian airspace when the order was issued. The company noted it was unaware that the Indonesian pilot could not operate flights to Israel, following Israel's new restrictions on foreign pilots.

Crew members from Indonesia and other nations without diplomatic ties to Ethiopia are now barred from participating in Israel-bound flights due to Israel's updated restrictions. Ethiopian Airlines confirmed the incident was a mistake, with the flight still operating within Ethiopian airspace at the time of the order.
