FTN Cocoa Processors Reports Revenue Surge Amid Cost Pressures

FTN Cocoa Processors reported revenue increasing to N5.65bn in 2025 from N1.38bn in 2024, a 309.5 per cent rise. This growth coincided with production costs climbing to N6.33bn, up from N536.59m the prior year. The company’s cost of sales surpassed revenue by 12.1 per cent, resulting in negative gross margins for the period.

The firm recorded an exchange gain of N1.84bn in 2025 versus an N11.68bn loss in 2024, offsetting some financial strain. However, finance costs of N578.12m exceeded operating profit, maintaining a net loss despite the revenue increase and foreign exchange benefits. The latest result shows reduced losses compared to prior periods.
