Ghana and Nigeria Journalists Selected for AI-Focused Fellowship

Ms Ampadu Agyeman, a journalist from Ghana, was among 500 applicants selected for the Imperial College London fellowship through Imperial Global Ghana. Her selection represented 13 per cent of total applicants. The program, supported by the British High Commission, began on October 11 with residential training in Accra and concludes on October 17, 2026.

The fellowship provides training in artificial intelligence (AI), climate change, and health technology. Fellows also build professional networks across science and technology journalism in the region. Ms Ampadu Agyeman stated the program will help her deepen understanding of emerging technologies and apply knowledge to evidence-based reporting, especially for vulnerable communities in Ghana's东部.
