KCCA has announced plans to remove the Kibuye roundabout as part of the Queens Way expansion project. The authority confirmed the development on Monday, providing an update on the progress of the road expansion project.

The Queens Way expansion aims to widen the existing road to six lanes, with each lane measuring 3.5 metres. The project covers a distance of 1.26 kilometres, stretching from the Clock Tower flyover to Kibuye.

As part of the road improvements, KCCA indicated that the large roundabout at Kibuye would be affected. The authority plans to replace the roundabout with traffic signals to ease traffic congestion in Kampala.
