Akin Odeyemi is Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Nigerian Bulk Electricity Trading Plc, appointed in July 2026. NBET is the government-owned bulk electricity trader and market manager at the centre of Nigeria’s electricity value chain. Odeyemi brings more than two decades of executive experience spanning the power sector, infrastructure development and financial services.
Before joining NBET, he led Infrasol Limited from 2022 to July 2026 and spent 15 years at JKN Limited, rising from executive director of business development to deputy managing director. Earlier roles in treasury, investment banking, asset management and financial control included Fountain Trust Bank and Lead Bank. His current work includes market settlements and sector reform, linking finance, infrastructure and commercial relationships among generators, distributors, regulators and investors.
