NALPGAM Advocates for Industry Involvement in LPG Expansion Initiatives

The Nigerian Association of Liquefied Petroleum Gas Marketers has urged federal authorities to engage its members in cooking gas penetration and cylinder recirculation programs to enhance nationwide access to liquefied petroleum gas.
NALPGAM’s National President, Barrister Edu Inyang, stressed that safety, efficiency, and sustainability must be prioritized as Nigeria aims to expand liquefied petroleum gas usage. The association also noted that stakeholders at a recent webinar called for greater industry participation in the Decade of Gas LPG penetration program, targeting annual LPG consumption of five million tonnes by 2030.
The group further highlighted the potential of digital technologies such as smart filling systems, automated tank gauges, load cells, flow meters, and vehicle tracking to reduce product losses and improve operational accountability.
