Nigeria's National Film and Video Censors Board (NFVCB) and Chinese film industry leaders are examining opportunities to enhance film distribution between the two nations. The talks focus on expanding access to each country's film market through improved distribution and licensing agreements.

The discussions include topics such as intellectual property protection and regulatory cooperation, as both sides aim to strengthen their film industries. Key figures involved in the talks are Dr Shaibu Husseini, the ED/CEO of NFVCB, and Mr Bai Yimin, Chairman of HuaXia Film Distribution Ltd.

In addition to the film distribution initiative, Nigeria and China have also signed a $30m grant agreement to support grassroots development in the film sector.
