Nigeria’s Corporate Governance Reports Highlight AI and Sustainability

The Corporate Governance and Sustainability Reporting in Nigeria publication, along with the 30th edition of the Journal of Corporate Governance, were launched at the Society’s 2026 Annual Corporate Governance Conference in Lagos.
Mrs Ben-Willie Osepiri, a Board Member of the Rivers State Internal Revenue Service, praised the publications, stating they provide valuable research and practical insights for boards, regulators, investors and governance professionals.
The Corporate Governance and Sustainability Reporting in Nigeria report analyzes governance and sustainability disclosures of the 30 most capitalised companies on the Nigerian Exchange. It reviews their 2025 reporting practices and trends from 2021 to 2025.
The report evaluates board oversight, reporting standards, sustainability targets, independent assurance and women’s representation on corporate boards.
The 30th edition of the Journal of Corporate Governance covers contemporary issues such as corporate governance and bank performance, ethical leadership, emerging technologies, digital transformation, cybersecurity and data governance.
A fireside chat at the conference discussed the leadership and governance requirements for transitioning from digital to intelligent enterprises.
