OPay Secures Nigerian Exchange Listing Approval After NYSE Primary Listing

OPay received board and shareholder approval to pursue a secondary listing on the Nigerian Exchange Limited (NGX) following its planned primary listing on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE). The company disclosed this approval in its Form F-1 registration statement filed with the United States Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on October 9, 2026.
The proposed Nigerian listing is conditional on market conditions and regulatory compliance. OPay stated that the move would allow Nigerian investors to directly participate in its ownership while expanding its investor base beyond the United States. However, the company warned that potential liquidity and pricing complications may arise due to non-seamless transfers between the two markets.
