Peshawar High Court Halts NCCIA Final Appointments

The Peshawar High Court has halted the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) from issuing final appointment orders for its vacant positions. The court's decision was issued in response to a petition challenging the agency's authority to finalize appointments.
Despite the court's order, the NCCIA was permitted to continue its recruitment process. The court directed the agency to ensure that any new appointments are made only after the pending regularization case is resolved through the proper legal channels.
The petitioners argued that the ongoing recruitment process, initiated on August 23, 2026, conflicted with their pending claim for regularization. They requested the court to declare the process unlawful and without legal authority.
