Presidency Critiques Atiku’s Economic Policy Approach

The Nigerian Presidency stated that the electorate is too sophisticated to prioritize short-term political gains over long-term economic security, specifically criticizing former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s approach as demagoguery.
The Presidency’s statement, titled 'Atiku’s demagoguery in the face of Tinubu’s logical policies,' was issued by Dr. Sunday Dare, Special Adviser to the President on Media and Public Communication.
Dr. Sunday Dare described Atiku ‘Kachalla’ as being disconnected from global realities and driven by an unbridled desire for power, labeling him a lone ranger.
The Presidency emphasized that decades of political opportunism in Nigeria have followed a toxic formula: exploiting temporary transitional discomfort, appealing to emotional cynicism, and promising mathematically impossible quick fixes to a sophisticated electorate.
