Roman Abramovich denies tax evasion claims after BBC probe

Roman Abramovich, former Chelsea owner, has rejected allegations of tax evasion and concealment of wealth following a BBC investigation into companies linked to the Russian billionaire. His legal representatives, Kobre & Kim, stated there was no evidence he authorized or participated in falsifying or backdating documents.
The BBC investigation further alleged that assets worth nearly $2 billion and more than $10 billion were concealed from Cypriot authorities. Abramovich previously faced UK sanctions due to his Kremlin links following Russia's invasion of Ukraine, which led to the sale of Chelsea after he owned it since 2003.
Abramovich has argued that the money should benefit all conflict victims rather than specific groups.
