Trump Announces Massive Russia Diesel Supply Deal to US

KOKO Business: Trump Announces Massive Diesel Supply Deal to US

President Donald Trump has officially announced a strategic agreement to supply millions of tons of diesel fuel to the United States and global markets, a move that has sparked significant debate and scrutiny among industry leaders and consumers alike.

The announcement was made on October 9, 2026, by President Trump, who stated that Russia would immediately release more than 300,000 tons of diesel, followed by additional shipments in the coming months to meet the growing demand.

Trump disclosed the agreement in a post on his Truth Social platform on Friday, emphasizing that Russia would supply another 500,000 tons in November, with the plan to deliver one million tons shortly afterwards to ensure steady availability.

Trump added that Russia would deliver a further three million tons within a short period, depending on the condition of its diesel refineries, which he described as a critical component for the upcoming fuel market.

The US president emphasized that these additional supplies would help reduce fuel prices, particularly for American farmers, ranchers, and truckers who rely on diesel for transportation.

Trump wrote that "Diesel Prices for Americans and, indeed, the World, will be COMING DOWN, IN RECORD NUMBERS, AND FAST!" as he outlined the potential economic impact of the new deal.

Trump also linked the proposed supplies to the ongoing disruption around the Strait of Hormuz, claiming that the United States had "TOTAL CONTROL" of the strategic waterway, underscoring the importance of the supply chain.
