Factory Fire Subdued After Eight-Hour Struggle

A severe fire at a garment factory in Karachi was brought under control after an eight-hour struggle, according to local authorities. The blaze, which damaged the upper floors of the building, significantly weakened the structure of the factory.
Emergency services deployed a large-scale response, including more than a dozen fire tenders, three snorkels, and two water bowsers, to manage the fire. Pakistan Navy personnel also joined the operation to assist in containment.
Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Chief Fire Officer Humayun Khan confirmed that the fire was controlled by 9:15pm, though cooling efforts were expected to continue for several hours. Authorities have launched an investigation into the fire's cause and are reviewing fire safety protocols in industrial zones.
