Portugal Sets Salary Threshold for Digital Nomads

Portugal has established a salary benchmark for foreigners seeking long-term digital nomad visas. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs outlined the income requirement, which mandates that applicants demonstrate average monthly earnings of at least four times the national minimum wage.
The Portuguese government requires digital nomad applicants to provide proof of income over the past three months. This financial threshold is set at four times the current monthly minimum wage, which is €1,020, resulting in a minimum acceptable income of €4,080.
The digital nomad visa policy emphasizes financial stability for foreign workers. Applicants must meet the income requirement to qualify for long-term residency in Portugal, as stated by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
