A Federal Capital Territory High Court in Garki, Abuja cleared legal practitioner Dr Ted Iseghohi-Edwards of fraud allegations tied to his 159 million dollar fee claim for services to 774 local government councils. The case involved legal and consultancy work related to the multi-billion-dollar London and Paris Clubs refunds.

The Federal Government settled the fee through 10 promissory notes, each valued at 15.9 million dollars, following court proceedings over contractual obligations and payments. The court found the fraud allegations against Dr Iseghohi-Edwards to be fabricated, aimed at damaging his reputation.

An investigation report titled “Re: Request for investigation report on London-Paris Club matters” was cited as lacking depth and contradicting earlier findings by the EFCC and the Department of State Services in 2016. The judge noted inconsistencies in the 2024 report.
