Former Moja Love Presenter Evicted Over Rental Debt

KOKO Business | People, Ideas, Markets, Growth | Former Moja Love Presenter Evicted Over Rental Debt

Julius Moloi, known as Bishop Moloi, was evicted from his rental property in Klerksdorp after accumulating R40,000 in unpaid rent. The eviction followed a tribunal ruling that found him liable for R31,000 in outstanding rent.

The North West Rental Housing Tribunal determined in May that Moloi had not paid his monthly rent of R7,000 for several months. He was eventually evicted in July, leaving behind a significant debt including an unpaid municipal account.

A settlement agreement dated July 20 shows an outstanding debt of R38,987 between Moloi and his landlord, Christine Herbst. Moloi, a former presenter of the Amabishop and Child Manyonyoba television shows, did not respond to the Sunday Times’ requests for comment.
