MNyesom Wike, Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), has rejected claims of supporting the Labour Party (LP) governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Ishaku Abbo. Wike labeled the report as 'fake' and clarified his stance in a statement released by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communications and Social Media, Lere Olayinka.

The false social media post alleged that Wike advised Adamawa residents to consider Abbo as the best choice for leadership. Wike's team refuted these claims, emphasizing that the report misrepresented his position and intentions regarding the election.

In addition to addressing the endorsement claims, Wike also highlighted the role of the Rainbow Coalition in reducing political tensions within the FCT. This statement was made alongside his rebuttal to the social media allegations.
