Makinde Campaign Accuses Tinubu of Betraying North

KOKO Business | People, Ideas, Markets, Growth | Makinde Campaign Accuses Tinubu of Betraying North

The Makinde campaign team accused President Tinubu of betraying the North, claiming the region's citizens will not support him. The campaign alleged that Tinubu's policies have led to significant negative consequences for millions of Nigerians.

The campaign highlighted that since Tinubu launched his campaign in Kaduna, the political hub of the North, there has been no tangible benefit for the region. They criticized his administration for economic hardship and broken promises.

Richard Ihediwa, strategic communications director for the APM campaign, recalled Tinubu's 2022 promise to eliminate bandits in Kaduna. However, Ihediwa stated that three and a half years later, violence and insecurity persist in the North-West.
