Pakistan, Qatar Expand Trade, Investment Cooperation

Pakistan and Qatar are exploring new opportunities for trade and investment cooperation. The initiative was discussed during the second meeting of the Pakistan-Qatar Joint Task Force (JTF) on Trade and Investment, led by Federal Minister for Commerce Jam Kamal Khan and Qatar’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade Affairs Dr Ahmad bin Mohammed Al-Sayed in Doha.
The meeting assessed the progress of bilateral economic collaboration since the initial session in April 2026 and identified practical steps to boost trade, ease investment and build industrial partnerships between the two nations.
A press release stated that representatives from relevant Pakistani ministries joined the meeting virtually, while the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC), acting as the JTF secretariat, managed the proceedings from Pakistan. Qatar is seeking investments in modern agriculture, grain storage facilities and advanced farming technologies.
