Hong Kong’s M+ has formed a new alliance with MoMA and Centre Pompidou to reshape museum loan practices. The collaboration centers on long-term art loans, emphasizing trust and shared values among the institutions.

The partnership involves collaborative curatorial research, conservation efforts, and extended loans across the museums’ networks.

MoMA plans to open a dedicated gallery in New York in 2027 to highlight the M+ collection. Meanwhile, M+ will incorporate works from MoMA and Centre Pompidou into its exhibitions within the next 18 months.

M+ also intends to display its LED facade commissions at the Pompidou’s new facility in Massy, France, as part of the partnership’s broader integration efforts.
