African Development Bank and UK Export Finance Forge New Partnership

The African Development Bank Group and UK Export Finance have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to enhance financing for Africa's infrastructure and investments. The agreement was signed on 21 October in Conakry, Guinea, during the fifth UK-West and Central Francophone Africa Trade and Investment Forum (WCAF V).
Abdul Kamara, Officer in Charge and Vice President of the African Development Bank Group, emphasized the importance of partnerships in addressing Africa's financing needs. He stated that the agreement provides a structured framework for co-financing opportunities.
The partnership aims to combine development finance with export credit to attract additional capital for strategic investments across the Bank's regional member countries. This collaboration will focus on sovereign and non-sovereign operations.
