Alake and Idris Honored at ARCON Special Recognition Awards

Dele Alake was honored at the maiden ARCON Special Recognition Awards (ASRA), which gathered industry leaders, government representatives, and trade-group officials to acknowledge individuals, brands, and agencies for their professional excellence and adherence to advertising standards.

Mallam Idris was awarded the Distinguished Service Award for his significant contributions to public relations, media entrepreneurship, and strategic communication.

Idris, a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (FNIPR) and an Associate Registered Practitioner of Advertising, has dedicated over three decades to communication, journalism, and public relations.

He also played a key role in establishing the Advertising Offences Tribunal, which has had a direct impact on the advertising sector's regulatory accountability.

Alake, a former newsman with a career spanning journalism, politics, and strategic communication, was similarly recognized for his contributions.
