COP31 Seeks Climate Finance Strategies by 2035

Li Gao, vice-minister of ecology and environment, emphasized the importance of advancing climate finance during a news conference in Beijing. He stated that this remains essential for supporting developing countries in fulfilling their climate commitments.

The 31st session of the Conference of the Parties, known as COP31, will take place in Antalya, Turkiye, from November 9 to 20. At COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, a new collective goal was set to mobilize at least $300 billion annually for climate action in developing countries by 2035.
